Rooted in Community, Guided by Faith
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago as one of nine children, I learned early the power of community and compassion. Our village lived by the principle "each one feed one," ensuring that no one went hungry. When my family immigrated to America, financial struggles continued, but my mother’s unwavering faith and daily commitment to providing a hot meal taught me the true meaning of service and sacrifice.
From Military Service to Mission
Years later, as a U.S. Navy officer, I witnessed the painful contrast between abundant food waste and widespread hunger—both in America and abroad. That awareness became the foundation for Feed My People, a mobile feeding ministry dedicated to meeting people where they are and restoring dignity through service. A Personal Call to Action
This mission became deeply personal in 2025, when a family member in New Jersey lost access to vital mental health care and slipped into homelessness. His decline revealed the cracks in a broken system and reignited my resolve to act. His story is a living example of what I call a Starving Soul in a Shattered System.
Faith in Action
Feed My People exists to stand in those very gaps—to bring hope, compassion, and change. Inspired by Matthew 25:35–40, our faith calls us to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, and care for "the least of these."
This is the heart of our mission—and the movement—of Feed My People, which gave birth to Starving Souls in a Shattered System. It is a call to solidarity and compassion in action—a reminder that faith is best expressed not in words alone, but in how we care for those whom the world too often forgets.
We aim to align with local food banks to strengthen our community, ensuring that families in severely distressed and food-insecure areas receive the support they deserve. Through the Feed My People initiative, we work hand-in-hand with neighbors, churches, and partners to make sure no one is overlooked.
We will partner with local community gardens to bring their harvests directly into the homes of families facing food insecurity. By integrating fresh, organic produce into our outreach, we strengthen both the health and dignity of our community. These partnerships allow the Feed My People initiative to extend its mission with greater compassion, deeper impact, and a stronger commitment to nourishing those most in need.
